Veteran of The Schleswig-Holstein War Mother died 22 May 1842 in Germany Henry Sindt was born in Holstein, Germany, March 29, 1821, son of Hans and Anna Sindt. In 1851 Mr. Sindt landed at New Orleans, where he took a boat up the Mississippi river to St. Louis. and then came to Davenport. Twelve weeks had elapsed from the time he left Germany until he reached Davenport. He married Miss Bertha Wiese, June 26, 1852. Seven children were born to them. |
